In love with Colorado

I was born in Colorado. Working - first as a mountain guide, and then as a photographer and writer - gave me a ticket to see the world. After each trip, I come back to Colorado more in love with this place. There are lots of places just as great on this planet, but if I had to choose one place to be and never leave, this would be it.

Just now putting together a new Colorado gallery for my website, and while looking through 20 years of Colorado photos I'm realizing once again just how much I love living here.  From the business culture to the recreation culture, from the alpine summits to the elk wallows, from the wilderness to the urban.  This photo from a January horseback riding trip (that also happened to be my wedding day) a number of years ago still blows my mind every time I look at it.  I love this place.
